While I am not in favor of a lot of the provisions within the current bill it is better than nothing. What we need is single payer not for profit health care. Whether it is just government run or some kind of hybrid private/government system insurance is not the way to go. Making money off of the suffering and illnesses of others is highly unethical.
Vote was 220-215 with 30 something dems voting against and 1 or maybe 2 reps voting for.
